Lafayette Park

這是去年6月10日去Washington DC的遊記，那天早上去了白宮外面看了一下，然後就到白宮對面的這個小公園繞繞，這個小公園叫做「Lafayette Park」（拉法葉公園），或是叫Lafayette Square。公園中間有一個騎馬的銅像跟一個大砲，公園周圍的四個角落還有四個銅像佇立著。下面這張照片就是公園最中間的騎馬銅像。

這個騎在馬上的人是傑克遜（Andrew Jackson），是美國第七任的總統。據說這個是美國第一個製作的騎馬銅像。

公園中間，在傑克遜銅像旁邊還有一個銅鐘，上面還有浮雕。

這是公園四角的其中一個銅像，這位手指向天空的是羅尚博伯爵（Jean Baptiste Donatien de Vimeur, comte de Rochambeau），他是一位法國軍事家，幫助美國贏得獨立戰爭。

公園另外一角的銅像，這位是拉法葉伯爵（Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette），這公園也是以他起名，法國一位將軍，曾參與法國大革命跟美國獨立戰爭。法國也有製造一款以他為名的拉法葉戰艦。

公園中間的小小噴水池，我穿過這個噴水池要到公園的對面兩角尋找銅像。

公園另外一角的這個銅像，他是一位波蘭將軍柯斯丘什科（Tadeusz Kościuszko），也是一位參與美國獨立戰爭的民族英雄。

最後這一角的這個銅像，他是斯托本（Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben），是普魯士出身的一位將軍，在美國獨立戰爭時期率領並訓練美國大陸軍隊。

這是斯托本銅像下面的小銅像，這四個角落大銅像的人物似乎跟美國獨立戰爭都有很重要的關係。
