Rockefeller Center

這是10月14日旅行紐約的遊記，那天跟從台灣飛來好久不見的阿助一起逛紐約，從Times Square一直逛到5th Avenue，然後到了去了St. Patrick's Cathedral（聖派翠克大教堂），很順地就來到「Rockefeller Center」（洛克斐勒中心）。 來過Rochkefeller Center很多次了，查一下這個部落格的文章，沒想到居然都沒有一篇專門寫這個地方，所以我就來寫一下。每次來看到這個金色雕像，幾乎都會拍照。

金色雕像旁邊就是一個免費的溜冰場，那天去的時候還滿多人在這裡溜冰的。

Rockefeller Center的這個金色雕像是美國雕塑家曼西普（Paul Manship,1885-1966）1934年的作品《普羅米修斯》（Prometheus) 。

順手也拍了在普羅米修斯前面的這個30 Rockefeller Center，也叫做The Comcast Building，或是之前的叫做GE Building，相當高的建築物，有70層樓，頂上也有展望台可以去。

Rockefeller Center附近也很有藝術氣息，像是這個門上的雕塑就很華麗。

另外在St. Patrick's Cathedral的正對面，也有一個很顯眼的雕塑作品，我每次過來這裡都會幫他拍照。這是美國雕塑家勞列（Lee Oscar Lawrie, 1877-1963）1937年的作品《阿特拉斯》（Atlas）。跟普羅米修斯一樣，阿特拉斯是希臘神話的一個角色，他因為反抗宙斯，被降罪用他的雙肩支撐整個世界。

要離開Rockefeller Center之前，太陽露臉了，所以又在阿特拉斯雕像前再拍一張。

在St. Patrick's Cathedral旁邊的這棟高51樓的「Olympic Tower」（奧林匹克大廈）也因為陽光出來，整個大反光，非常華麗。
